Public signing links
A public signing link lets anyone sign their own copy of a template without you sending each one. Put it on your website, in an email footer or in a booking confirmation, for things like waivers, consent forms or terms.
Make a public link
- Set up a template where the first person is a signer with a Signature field. That first person is whoever opens the link. Anyone else on the template needs a real email address (for example you, to countersign).
- On the Templates page choose Public link next to it, then Make a public link.
- Choose Copy and share the link wherever you like.
What happens when someone uses it
They see the document’s title and who shared it, give their name and email, pass a quick check that they are a person, and go straight to signing. A new document is made for them from your template and appears in your Documents list like any other. Everyone after them is emailed in the usual way, and the finished copy goes to everyone.
- Each use counts as a document sent on your plan.
- Lite includes one public link at a time; Solo and Teams have no limit.
- Each link can be used up to 30 times an hour, to stop abuse.
- If your plan can’t send at that moment, the visitor is told plainly and nothing is made.
Switch off or delete a link
- The Taking signatures switch turns the link off and on. While it is off, the link says it isn’t taking signatures.
- The dialog shows how many times it has been used and when last.
- Delete the link (asks for your password) stops it for good. Documents already signed through it are not affected.
